Working together to end gender-based violence

The H&N Justice for Women Review Team is Haldimand and Norfolk’s Violence Against Women Coordinating Committee. The team is coordinated by Haldimand & Norfolk Women’s Services and is focused on improving local system responses and overall supports related to gender-based violence in H&N.

The team includes representatives from sectors including Violence Against Women (VAW), Justice, Social Services and Healthcare. See a full list of team members here. The team is funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services.

The team solicits feedback from community members and service providers regarding how services could be improved in our community, and how we can reduce barriers to accessing systems and services across Haldimand & Norfolk. In addition to Case Reviews, projects of the team include protocol development, training for community groups, workplaces, and salons, community workshops, education for service providers, and printed materials such as the Women’s Guide for Help and H&N Resource Card.

The team participates on the advisory to Building a Bigger Wave, a provincial network of VAW Coordinating Committees.
