24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Haldimand & Norfolk Women’s Services can provide confidential, free, anonymous support and services to women in H&N (and their children) who have experienced violence. HNWS can provide a safe place to stay for women and children fleeing abusive situations.

If you have recently been sexually assaulted, you can call HNWS to discuss your options and get connected with services. Staff of HNWS can provide transportation and support while you access services at a Sexual Violence and Domestic Violence Treatment Centre near you. If you would like evidence collected in case you decide to report the assault to the police, the nurse can complete a Sexual Assault Evidence Kit (often known as a rape kit). HNWS can ensure you are connected to follow up services, such as individual and group counselling and support.
